PPD's Compendium of Philippine Medicine (CPM)
A Valuable Collection for Medical Practitioners in Their Daily Practice
The Compendium of Philippine Medicine (CPM) is a collection of treatment guidelines, consensus statements, and management algorithms from multi-sectoral task forces, medical societies, and training institutions in the country. The CPM provides the primary physician with easy-to-use, easy-to-follow guidelines to help him manage his patient based on the latest in medical practice and technology as gathered from the experts in the field.
Published annually, CPM features different disease conditions in every edition. Cross-referenced to the Philippine Pharmaceutical Directory (PPD), drugs mentioned in the CPM are arranged by generic and brand names and therapeutic classification. An outstanding feature of the CPM is the Clinical Algorithm, which is a step-by-step procedure for solving a medical problem. This helps facilitate clearer and more accurate practice guidelines, ensuring an improvement in healthcare delivery to Filipino patients.
